The Epic Authenticator app enhances security by providing two-factor authentication for the Epic electronic health record system. This additional verification step ensures a more robust safeguard for your Epic credentials during logins.

During the login process on Epic, users will periodically receive notifications on their mobile devices. By tapping on the notification, users confirm their identity and complete the login procedure. Alternatively, if the notification is missed, logging in is still possible by entering a temporary passcode available in the Epic Authenticator app.

Prior to utilizing the app, organizations need to enable Epic's two-factor authentication, and users must enroll their device in the Epic Authenticator. To begin using this feature, users should follow the guidelines set by their organization or reach out to their organization's support team for assistance.
